Huffpost Progressives See the Obama Trees

February 9, 2011

But not the Bush Forest?

I guess times are troubled over at the Huffpost?  The progressive writers and readers that congregate there, are none too happy about the AOL takeover.  Here we are, about a decade after the New World Order finally came to fruition…and folks is spittin mad!

Evidently, they’ve just realized that Arianna was pulling their collective fingers all along.  If this was say, 2003…I’d be more sympathetic.

Meanwhile…back at Democratic Underground!  Where Democrats are just fabulous thank you very much and we just don’t know how in heaven’s name, anyone could disparage Norm Dicks and friends over this new Patriot Act thingy?  Besides, we’re pretty sure Ralph Nader had something to do with something…

Remember angry ex-Huffpost progressives, civil liberties are only as good as the Democratic Congress-humans that are keeping us
from them?

Look forward peoples…forward!  Now off to Costco with us.

Year of the Radioactive Rabbit

February 9, 2011

If you’re anything like most Democrat voting Seattleites, you love Walla Walla wines, you rock a Death Cab for Cutie tattoo and you think the rain is about the only thing preventing Seattle from being Portland.

Sadly, many of the wines they enjoy spent too much time hanging out near Hanford, it also rains in Portland…and I really have nothing constructive to say about the Death Cab tattoos.

As per usual, hot wine, tattoos and Portland, tend to make me want to read anything Nicole Brodeur writes at the Seattle Times.

Nicole has kindly reminded us about last years radioactive Hanford bunny. The hot bunny was caught and devoured by the bored and ravenous engineers that work at Hanford.  The ensuing blogger nuttiness that followed, was a phenomenon we like to call the internet or…the death of the Seattle Times.

Full disclosure, I think I used the term: radioactive death in Clint Didierville, along with about 30 other topics all seamlessly wrapped into one long confusing post…as I’m apt to do.

But I should probably digress at this juncture.

So yes, Hanford is a mess.  Do not drink the wine and if you live near the Columbia River…you should probably just get a Death Cab tattoo and move to Seattle.  But do visit Hanford Challenge…they’re uplifting and informative statement pretty much says why the river dwellers should move to Seattle.  It’s because Hanford:  is the most contaminated site in the Western Hemisphere.

Now this may not be news to some of you, but for many, the mystery of what real life Cubs game was being played during the actual filming! of Ferris Bueller…is about as close as they’ll ever get to the truth about Iraq and Rumsfeld.

Now I don’t know spit about newkular rabbits, but I do know a way that we can start to turn Washington State’s economy around.

First, the wealthy side of the state is going to have to stop subsidizing the less fortunate, Dino Rossi-banging side of the state.  For all the fun I make of the greater Seattle area…it does pay an unfair amount to those who hate schools, roads and sewage treatment plants.  I’m looking at you Wenatchee…

Second…Washington State is running about a $5 billion dollar deficit. This means that schools, what health care we had and programs for the poor middle classes…will be obliterated.  Washington State’s share of the BushBama wars on the brown-skinned Middle Eastern humans…have cost Washington State taxpayers about $25 billion dollars.  Or…what it might cost to field a winning Seahawks team.

Most of Eastern Washington, (other than Spokane) thinks the greater Seattle area runs from Vancouver (south) to Vancouver (north).  This pretty much proves my theory that sugar, Kocha-Kola and fake Monsanto foods, are creating a whole new subspecies of stupid humans that are able to drive, vote and buy iPhones.  I call them patriots.

Unfortunately, no known pissy progressive or slow-witted TeaBanger, has dared to ask Tim Eyman…when he thinks he’ll get to ‘initiativing’ our way out of these expensive wars for Boeing?

For answers to all of our problems and a few of the questions raised here…look no further than the attempted MLK Day bombing in Spokane.

I’m thinking our troubles are as shallow as Tim Eyman, yet as complicated as 9/11.  Perhaps we should just watch Ferris Bueller and move to Seattle?

AfJanetstan

February 8, 2011

Janet Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security asked us to be ‘Vigilant‘ during the Super Bowl.  If we saw something, we were supposed to say something.

Well, first and foremost, thanks for the plug Janet!  Second, all I saw were the Steelers succumbing to the Elizabeth Hasselbeck-hassle factor.  I saw something, I told everyone and still…still, Napolitano’s Homeland Security, failed to keep the Super Bowl safe from the twins of terror that were…Christina Aguilera and Hasselbeck.

Perhaps searching buses for Christina and Elisabeth on the Olympic Peninsula will turn something up?

In response to the Napolitano Super Bowl, Montana is looking to create an armed state militia force, because you know…what the fuck else have they got to do?

Welcome to AfJanetstan Montana!  We’re a little dirrty…and somewhat retarded.

Good to be back from next door to Idaho…now enjoy some Muslin-like Aguilera music, before the Obama/Omar Suleiman internet kill-switch happens?

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Idaho is Right Next Door

February 7, 2011

When in Pullman, Washington…Idaho is indeed, right next door.

Since I find myself right next door to Idaho…I shall return to passing along words of importance and other oddities asap.

Meanwhile, ponder our next war zone in Iraq.  It will require yet another 10 to 20 year commitment, so that we may reestablish a Capitalist regime for Starbucks and Jiffy-Lube.  Sure it all seems a bit redundant, but you can’t have a Patriot Act riddled homeland…without first changing the definition of what change is.  First?

For more known knowns and war crimes, see the DoD’s Rumsfeld.

For a decent job go see an Army recruiter.

For more of the Vigilant Lens…it’ll have to wait until I escape from next door to Idaho.

NY Times Meet Awal Gul

February 4, 2011

Two New York Times reporters were detained in Egypt by the Mukhabarat…our CIA trained, much dreaded Egyptian Secret Police.

Souad Mekhennet and Nicholas Kulish are the reporters and the link to their ordeal is here.  Not something many of us would like to go through.

Now meet the recently deceased Awal Gul.  He just died in Guantanamo after having spent 9 years there…in a cage, never having been charged with a crime.  Awal Gul certainly met with harsher treatment than the two NYT reporters.  Yet you never heard of Gul, until he died.  In Obama’s Guantanamo.

Bradley Manning, WikiLeaks, Abu Ghraib, Bagram and countless other black sites and nameless other victims of the Obama-Bush torture regime, are the result of our collective apathy.

The revolution in Egypt has nothing to do with anything—that we care to know too much about.

New York Times, meet Awal Gul.

Soundgarden Friday

February 4, 2011

It’s here, it’s Soundgarden Friday!

Some Fridays are Rage Against the Machine Fridays…some are Metallica Fridays.  Some Tuesdays are dark and depressing…those are known as Celine Dion Tuesdays.  All things we should keep in mind as we go about our busy, semi-productive days here in the Homeland.

From the “where did my beer and sock fund go” front, we have Admiral Mullen.  When Mike’s not spending the pretend inheritance you planned on leaving your children…in Vietghanistan, Iraq, Yemen or Blackwater, he’s cautioning us that stopping our annual payment of 1.5 billion dollars to Egypt…won’t buy Mubarak’s replacement very many U.S. tanks, jets or bowls of delicious Kibbeh.

Senator John McCain would agree, except he’s pretty busy wringing his hands over anything that resembles democracy, trying to rear its ugly head anywhere here in the Homeland.

Dementia and insanity being what they are…John probably meant to insinuate that he’s concerned about the spread-age of freedom in the Middle East, not Coeur d’Alene.

A segue is supposed to help us transition smoothly from one subject to another.  I’d like to think that riding a Segway in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho might accomplish this better.  But that’s just me.

Coeur d’ Alene!  Tacos!  White people!  Segue!  I read in the Cowles news outlet, that two in a half white supremacists were picketing taco trucks in Coeur d’ Alene.  Not only did I find the visual hilarious…but I found myself wishing that my cameras and I were there to capture it.  A few tacos would be awesome as well.

But kudos to Shawn Vestal and the white folks of Spokane and Coeur d’ Alene for stepping up!  If only we had done so back in the
dark days.

As the tacos go in Coeur d’ Alene…so goes the Black Rain of the Homeland.

Segue people, segue!

Vote Vigilant for Ruler of the New Earth!

February 3, 2011

They're on to us.

I’m starting my campaign for Supreme Ruler of the new Earth, before Palin or Bachmann ignore their 6000 year old belief system and steal my thunder.

It can’t just be our natural curiosity that drives NASA to search for inhabitable planets.  First and foremost, NASA doesn’t sell tacos, so I’m not sure what else they’d do with their time.  Once you realize that NASA is not perfecting the taco…that pretty much leaves searching for a way off our dying planet.  And not a century too soon!

Revolution will eventually sweep the planet and if the Koch Brothers have anything to say in the matter…most of us won’t be left alive to buy their toilet paper.  Self-defeating, anti-capitalist Communism, sure…but they’re as nuts as Judge Clarence Thomas is interested in following the law.

Laws aren’t meant for people like Clarence.  Laws are meant to keep you in line and disinterested in having any interest, in your own best interests.  Kind of like the naturally occurring Hexavalent chromium you’re enjoying in your coffee…right now!

Our fancy kabillion dollar defense systems don’t actually work…but we keep paying for them and wondering why Bank of America keeps taking our bailouts.

Your FBI knows no law that Clarence Thomas needs to follow…because it considers most of us the enemy.

If we can fight decades long, pretend wars for Boeing’s profits, we sure as hell can’t expect ConocoPhilips to give a shit about our highways, rivers or futures.  Unless…some far right-wing conservative billionaire, grows a conscience.

Holy shit look at that! Frederick W. Smith, FedEx CEO and right-wing conservative billionaire extraordinaire…says we have to get off oil?  Because not only do we fight pretend wars for it…but our continued use of it, is causing NASA to look for inhabitable planets?

Wow.

Sure Fred didn’t actually agree with my NASA theory, but do you have any idea how hard it is to tie all this crap together in one post?  Me either.

Remember citizens of the Homeland…when the voting begins for Supreme Ruler of the New Earth, vote early and vote often, because Diebold makes this possible.
