Priorities

March 12, 2008

Congressman Norm Dicks is one pissed off politician. Rep. Dicks really isn’t all that upset that Boeing lost to a corporation that is located outside the homeland and run by evil Frenchman. No, what really has Norm pissing blood is the fact that his 30 years of pandering to the military industrial complex, meant nothing to the Air Force. 30 years of painstakingly crafted political gamesmanship, earmarks and favors that in the end, meant nothing. Norm was rendered irrelevant.

Reality has understandably hit Norm pretty hard. Welcome to the club Normy…..

Representative, I offer you some advise. Do not come home for this next vacation Norm. Stay in DC, eat nothing from France then talk with these people. Talk with these Iraq Veterans Norm. There are bigger things at stake than your pride. Talk with Congressmen Kucinich and Wexler, they have important news for you about this fool.

End the crisis in this country Norm, fight for the Constitution. You can fight, piss and moan for Boeing some other time.

Ass Coverage

March 9, 2008

We will be witnessing more ass coverage, as former and current Bush administration co-conspirators get religion. Douglas Feith is one of the latest to throw a few former friends under the “none of this was my fault” bus. So Doug wrote a book. The Washington Post calls it a “massive score settling” piece. Laugh about it here.

Meanwhile, from the news you missed department: Congressman Wexler not only used the impeach word, he also mentioned the rarely heard from words; inherent contempt and House Sergeant of Arms. Enjoy those words here.

And look, more troop support. Troop support and KBR in the same sentence, shocking.

Last but not least, if you thought FISA was just about listening in on your stupid phone conversations, think again. Google, Yahoo and Micro “gay” Soft are and have been able to hand over your emails. All of them. Check it out here , then go close your email accounts. Or at the very least, stop plotting to blow everything up via Yahoo.

Happy Sunday!

Top 9 Priorities of the Democratic Majority

March 6, 2008

http://www.cindyforcongress.org/

  1. Call the Air Force liars and threaten them with “Congressional action”. Definition: Absolutely nothing will happen.
  2. Use the FBI and all of its resources to prosecute Bush for crimes against Roger Clemens for crimes against baseball.
  3. Reel in Norm. Hypocrisies are starting to surface.
  4. Hide the 2 trillion dollar ultimate price tag of the Iraq invasion. Hide complicity in said invasion.
  5. Distract the masses from what that 2 trillion dollars could have paid for. (see numbers 1, 2 & 8 )
  6. Spend as much time as possible introducing bills neither party wants to vote on.
  7. Do as Kellogg Brown and Root tell you, then threaten the Air Force. (see number 1)
  8. Continue funding of Operation Sleepy American. The CIA run operation that gives us things like Survivor, American Idol and Britney Spears.
  9. Repeat numbers 1 through 9 as needed.

    Hey Norm, Patty…

    March 5, 2008

    137239608_imgp3170.jpg

Do yourselves a favor and just stop. Alabamans and the French are perfectly capable of building tankers. The misfits that helped blow this deal for Boeing, run the company. Those same misfits are also helping to keep you employed.

The French “tanker from hell” as you seem to think of it, does indeed contain non American parts and labor. As does the Boeing tanker. Columnist Danny Westneat beat me to my main point. Go ask a machinist at Boeing to fill you in on how locally built the Boeing product is. Then, shut the hell up.

Boeing employees are indeed angry and Boeing employees will indeed hold management accountable. Washington State voters are also angry. So spare us the gamesmanship. Save your pretend outrage for your next fundraising dinner extravaganza. Go to a dark, quiet room and reflect on what you have been witness to for the last seven years. Reflect on your role in allowing it to happen.

Because dear Norm and Patty, if you can not come to terms with your complicity and attempt to repair the damage both of you have done, we as your employer, will damn well fix it for you.

Freedom Fries. Pronounced “Alabama” in French.

So it’s a new day. Boeing lost and apparently size did matter to the Air Force. Our Washington State fraternity of politicians are hell bent to get to the bottom of this tanker deal. They feel they have been lied to and say Washingtonians deserve jobs more than Alabamans. Oh, and you just can’t trust the French.

Alabama Governor Bob Riley is happy about what this could mean for his state. Just don’t ask Bob about 60 minutes, Karl Rove or jailed former Gov. Don Siegelman.

Lets just cut through all the political theater and bullshit. You want to lay blame? Lay it here, Michael Sears, Darleen Druyan, Philip Condit and Harry Stonecipher.

Take a minute to soak all this in. If you are angry about Boeing, then the actions of corporations like Blackwater, Halliburton, The Geo Group, Bechtel, Custer Battles and ExxonMobile, should have you spitting up blood.

How about it Norm, Patty? You two spitting up blood yet?

    Boeing was Dicked?

    March 1, 2008

    137252250_imgp6782.jpg

Norm Dicked that is. Norm said, “It’s just one of the worst things in my whole life. I am just shocked over this.” The worst thing in your whole life Norm? Norm is pissed because his 30 years in power just went poof! Norm is sick because he not only got punked, he got Bushed.

Norm and the rest of our Congressional Delegation are ready to fight. They will fight for Boeing. They will fight for Boeing’s money. They will not fight for the Constitution. They will not fight the Bush Administration on torture. They will not Fight the Bush Administration on much of anything.

Norm could have gotten things back to normal. He could have returned things to the good ol days when folks didn’t care what he did. He chose to be complicit. Just like Patty, just like every other member of Congress. Complicit.

I know folks at Boeing. I’ve had family at Boeing. Hell, I’m even an Air Force Veteran. This is a blow, this is painful. While it’s easy to blame Norm, Patty and friends….. it’s really our fault. We’ve been asleep while the Bush Administration had it’s way with our country. This Boeing decision is just one of many that has hurt us. This time, more of you paid attention. More of you are outraged.

Again, Norm is an easy target, I enjoy picking on him as well. But this is your chance Boeing employee. This is gut check time America (sorry Alabama). Our Democratic and Republican Congress people sold us out a long time ago. They and the Bush Administration have shown their true intent.

Now what the fuck are you going to do about it?
