Dance of Optimism

April 5, 2009

You have to dig, but I’ll be damned to eternal damnation, if there are not a few reasons to be optimistic.

President Obama called for a world without nukes and was able to suppress his laughter.  Good news for the world and even better news for Hood Canal.  North Korea’s missile of used tin foil, balsa wood and misinformation, was indeed a failure.  It was more of a cry for help, food and Western fashions.  The church is still afraid of condoms and will be forced back into inconsequential, semi annual meetings in Wasilla Alaska.

And finally, there are actually a few humans who just want to spread smiles, by dancing.  Color me…semi optimistic.

I’m Getting Pessimistic About my Pessimism

April 4, 2009

Obama wore kitten heels; Bruni-Sarkozy opted for Dior flats.

Tough to shake that feeling that shit, just ain’t right.  North Korea may have fired a missile made of used tin foil, old socks and balsa wood.  Demi Moore has 380, 000 subscribers waiting on her next Twitter.  Ashton Kutcher has…675,000 humans, waiting for him to Twitter something about one of his thoughts.  That’s well over a million humans, waiting on a Twitter.

Media is broken, the financial crisis is much worse than you know, fathers are murdering their children, the drug war is a joke of a lie, freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan wages on and millions of us thought Sarah Palin, would fix it all.  The ice caps are melting, Dick Cheney still walks amongst us, New Kids on the Block are back! and kitten heels and Dior flats look good on first ladies.

Optimism might make an appearance tomorrow.

Caucasian Consternation

April 2, 2009

This video reminds me of several of my MoveOn.org friends and a couple of my dreads wearing, tribal tattoo adorned and abundantly pierced slacker friends.  I think if the video had a 2008 Ford F350 with a support the troops sticker, a belt buckle or three, throw in a Hank Williams Jr song, some shitty beer and a few chants of USA! USA!…and…well, you’ve got us.

Vodpod videos no longer available.
more about “White People Problems (VIDEO)“, posted with vodpod

I’ve just talked myself out of that Hootie and the Blowfish tattoo I’ve been saving for.

Yet Another Boycott

March 31, 2009

Bill O’ Reilly has added another boycott to his man satchel of boycotts.  Bill had just recently ended his french fries boycott, only to add Sean Penn to his list of boycottiness.

Now Bill is going after Spain.  Yes, that Spain.  How large is Bill’s man satchel of boycotts?  How many boycotts can one pretend journalist start?  Who pays this piece of shit?  This is who pays that piece of shit.

I don’t think anyone is expecting an inquisition, but then again, nobody ever does.

Before Coffee…

March 30, 2009

There was Gruntruck.
Vodpod videos no longer available.

After coffee, there was…okay, there is no after coffee.

But I did find my old Gruntruck cassette.

I also could not find a way to play it.

Big Fake Outrage

March 30, 2009

Words spoken by Senator Corker from Tennessee, “This is a major power grab by the White House on the heels of another power grab.”

Words Twittered by Senator John McCain, while eating some pudding, “Calling for GM CEO to resign is unprecedented window dressing.”

Words directed back to both outraged Senators…Harold Ford Jr. and Sarah Palin.

Now shut the fuck up, gentleman.

Bill O’ Reilly is a Journalist?

March 30, 2009

Bill O’ says he is boycotting Sean Penn.  Bill O’ also calls himself a journalist.  Bill O’ is to journalism what Steve O’ is to cottage cheese.

Since Bill’s interview is too stupid to link to, I give you several minutes of a sea urchin eating a cookie.  It’s far more important and entertaining, than Bill.
