Misspelled Third Tagger Wenzday

November 5, 2012

Just this week, I skipped the search for free wine at yet another First Friday and or Saturday Art-Clique Walk; and took a stroll-about in ever eccentric circles during Misspelled Third Tagger Wenzday instead.

I pined for the free wine
And I whined about the lack of art-like cliques
But still!! still I was able
To avoid purchasing
Not one inspirational piece
Of not one visionary’s life’s work

Of Fruit Flies and Presidents

November 2, 2012

So George W. and I were hiding out in plain sight the other day, and together we wondered aloud — “does the fruit fly on my Starbucks pumpkin bread know that it’s November?”

“Pumpkins’. They’re the most misunderestimated veggie on the planet” said the President.  “Actually Mr. President, I think they’re a fruit, sir…” said I.

Irrefutable proof of global climate change can’t always be expected to up and land on your pumpkin bread in November; but at least you can always count on George and I…to discuss the least important part of most any irrefutable event.

It’s Not Often Said

November 1, 2012

Sponsored by Apple and Time Warner

it’s not often said
that if nonprofits for the arts
were in charge of fighting
and running all of our wars…
the time spent searching for grants
would have made working for Amazon
seem all that more intriguing

Happy Sentence Structure Marxist Halloween!

October 31, 2012

Anarchy?! Oh my God…Nooo!

What if we the Patriot Acted feared run-on sentences
as much as we feared the Spanish speakers who used to
take every job we wouldn’t do while simultaneously
wanting strong unions to protect said unwanted jobs for us?
BOO!

What if while practicing for the inevitable takeover of Washington State’s Ferries
by the non-existent brown-skinned evildoers
we let Tim Eyman scuttle the whole fleet?
That should’ve worried us, but it didn’t.
Hey that guy’s wearin’ a turban!
BOO!

What if George W. Bush came out of hiding
to endorse the Teabanger candidate?
W?
What’s a W and why’s it hiding from Obama’s wars?
W’s wars are Obamas wars? What wars? Whose wars?
Wait what?
If Obama’s wars were W’s wars — then where’s the media on the wars?
Hmpf.
Yeah, I don’t know how we missed all those climate change signs.
Whatever.
boo.

BofA still wants to suck what remains of your blood.
BofA is connected to regime change
and with change comes more of the same but different.
Moving forward was misspelled as for-prophet.
It’s actually spelled as profit
but pronounced as the disposition matrix.
BOO!

What if? As if? Who gives a rip!
The Sentence Structure Marxists.

Tall Ship HMS Bounty

October 30, 2012

HMS Bounty

With the news that Hurricane Sandy had sunk The HMS Bounty — like many people — I paused to remember where I once saw her.  The Bounty wasn’t under full sail…but she was a sight to be seen!  Victoria, Canada — two-thousand and eight is where I once saw her.

Done a few interesting things in my life
But once you’ve sailed on a tall ship
It puts many of life’s adventures in a different light

My condolences to the families and crew.

Congress

Doyle: What’cha doin’ with that lawn mower blade Karl?
Karl: I aim to kill you with it.
~ Doyle to Karl Childers, 1996

I reckon I’ve read a million blog posts, articles and editorials that start their pieces with a smart quote here…and an even more smarterish quote there. Mmm mmm.

I also reckon most folks don’t connect them dots like I do.  Mmm.

But I figures that if Congress is doin’ the dirty work of someone else…then our GE newkular power plants can hold up to them there floods that are surely comin’ our way…better than them there GE newkular power plants in Japan.  Mmm.

If you were to channel Karl Childers’ voice while reading this post…you’d know where I’ve been.

A’ight then.
