The Mid-Day Snoop Break

June 18, 2008

Long day? Tired of reading about war crimes, out of touch Democrats, what Sonics trial? or anything Rossi related? Well you’ve come to the right place.

So as Dino might say to his evil financiers, “raise up off these n-u-ts, cause you gets none of these. At ease”

The mid-day Snoop Break….enjoy!

Prioritizing Priorities

June 17, 2008

According to the Seattle PI, some 3000 people turned out in downtown Seattle, to support men in shorts.

3000 people.

They turned out to support Millionaires in shorts, who play basketball. These millionaires play ball for even richer men and corporations.

3000 people.

They dressed in Sonics Corporate Colors, chanting save our millionaires.

3000 people.

No one is really confused about why things like Bush, Iraq, Gitmo and Rossi happens, right?

3000 people.

Enjoy the pretty photos here and even here.

Tim Eyman has sent you a warning. He is ready to appear in Olympia this week with his signatures and home mortgage specialists in tow. Say news pushers! Here’s an idea…

Don’t show up…

Attention Freelance Writers!

June 13, 2008

The Coeur d’ Alene Press in, you guessed it, Coeur d’ Alene Idaho, is in desperate need of writers. But before any of you potential freelancers apply, check out my quick “historical” narrative of Coeur d’ Alene. You’ll be better informed…and extremely desirable.

“It” used to be a sleepy resort town, owned by a sleepy rich white guy. The sleepy rich white guy, went and built a really cool white while phallic hotel…on the white sandy beaches of a lead polluted lake. There used to be a group of slow and painfully confused white guys that would parade around town once a year, claiming they were superior white guys. Free beer Thursday made for many great times at Peabody’s, “A Party Place with Rock and Roll!”

Now a days, the white folk of Coeur d’ Alene have less free beer, less superior marching white guys and are forced to read articles by former “advertising executives,” posing as freelance writers. Hence we now know why he is a former “advertising executive”. Read his art, here.

To apply as a freelancer with the Coeur d’ Alene Press, try emailing the Managing Editor mpatrick@cdapress.com. Be sure to ask, so…..exactly what decade is your newsroom operating in?

For Pelosi and Conyers (eyes only)

June 11, 2008

Nancy, this first video is for you. A much needed refresher course. Then again, I suppose you and the Gang of Eight, have better things to do with your time. Like shopping around for a few partisan lawyers. Good luck with that.

John, times up. We know why you hesitate. It no longer matters. Get rid of your staff, sit down, watch this important message, then re-grow a pair. We can all make up later…

Olympia Photog Mistaken for Patriot

June 10, 2008

Patriots in the Olympia area are used to being shoved, pepper sprayed and arrested for doing their patriotic duty. In this case, it was a Lacey Police Detective getting pissy with a news photographer from The Olympian. Read about it here. Obviously this detective has issues. One being he works for a department with the name Lacey in it.

But the Olympian also has a problem. The Pissy Detective is calling their photographer a liar. The Olympian has had issues with the truth in the recent past. The Port of Olympia actions, a great example. Olympia PD is still dealing with their choices from those days in November, their half truths and verbal judo. The Olympian chose sides, like all poorly run news pushers do and opted for pushing propaganda, instead of fact based reporting. Read a bit of that fine journalism, here.

The Olympian is trying to portray “Lacey” Detective Miller, as less than truthful. The Olympian is going to have to be very careful in their “coverage” of this story. Many former law enforcement types, like myself, as well as all of those involved with shutting the Port of Olympia down last year, are watching.

So Vickie, what’s it going to be this time? Propaganda or journalism? Both seem to go together so well these days…
