i remember the “13” of us
screaming at Bush
outside his fake
Crawford ranch
as a whole
generally speaking
all in all
it’s still just about “13” of us
standing outside another fake
Bush Crawford ranch
i bet there’s a different “14” out there
somewhere
who feel the same way about something else
in front of yet another
fake
Bush Crawford ranch

A Love Poem Gone All Soul Coughing

sometimes when i think of you
nothing comes to mind
i don’t remember the good times gone bad
i’ve forgotten the bad times done right
maybe
i think
i don’t recall your birthday
and if i did
i’d give you last years gift
whatever that was
my memories of you
fought
cut clean
elevators to the mezzanine
chump…change
and it’s on

Insignificant We

as i walk upon the body of an ancient tree that rests amongst the corpses of a thousand others who were thrown from a two-million-year-old sea to the sand of million-year-old beach kept warm by a 5-billion-year-old sun which hangs in a trillion-year-old sky that goes on farther than forever…i can’t help but wonder what a kardashian might be wearing.
