The Vigilant Lens 
Lens1, meaning no disrespect, I do admire your work, but we don’t have a dwindling capacity to produce enough healthy food (as the article says). But rather we have an abundance of fertile land. In America alone, though we lost much topsoil, I suspect we still have the capacity to feed the world two or three times over. But THEY have made the conscious decision to supply the consumer demand for meat and dairy and must use this same land to grow grain to feed animals, a cruel industry that has caused an environment disaster; water shortages, hypoxic dead zones, greenhouse effect, and on and on and all due to animal agriculture, at least a conservative 60% so say the experts. But hay, they like their steaks—and that, makes it all worth it.
Sorry, I waxed sarcastic it wasn’t aimed at you.

Hey Peter…no troubles my friend. I thought the article was more about climate change and attempting to farm with less power and water …but yeah, I do agree that with sane methods…we probably could still feed the world in a healthy, earth friendly way. But as you’ve probably read here too…I’m no stranger to our lack of sane ways and our wars on everything for short-term profit of the few. I do dwell in the pentagon/Homeland false=Security/Black fear Budget realm too much and tend to forget about many other ills and issues. Thanks for the reminder!
