New Media, Old Media, What Media?

Today Jon Stewart has forced more journalist types, to try and explain how it is, that Stewart “the clown,” is doing the job that they have refused to do.

A perfect example comes to us from the Huffington Post. Two journalists, one who understands that journalism has lost it’s way. The other? A clueless puppet, who is obviously part of the problem.

Our first journalist, Mike Hegedus is an insider and former correspondent on CNBC. Mike is exhibit A. He does not get it and probably never will. Read his take on the Stewart/Cramer interview right here. Be sure to read the comments on his post…Mike is having a bad Huffpost day.

Next up is Daniel Sinker. Daniel is a journalist who is well versed in new media. Professor Ari Goldman, would probably tell Daniel to fuck off. Proof that Daniel is doing something correct. Daniel’s take on the Stewart/Cramer interview can be found right here. Yes, he gets it.

Watch Jon Stewart do what old media has forgotten how to. He actually asks real questions and calls bullshit when needed. Clearly, we could use about 1500 Jon Stewart’s right about…now.
