The government will tax the rich, but not the very rich, the ones who own our politicians,they will never pay. Republican and Democrats are all the same. They will still tax the middle class and and anyone else they can steal a buck from.
Occupy? Yes they has to fail.
All true. The only optimism I’ve had in the last decade or so just occurred recently. Unfortunately…it’s come at the expense of we the Patriot Acted, but at least people of many a political persuasion/no party are now paying a little more attention. Next step…getting us all to act.
Well in my case, I suppose it’s more of a pessimistic optimism…in that more than the usual activists are becoming aware of many of the things I, you, and others have been going on about for so long. Sort of an “I told you so” at all of our expense…
Sadly, I suppose it’s more of a backhanded optimism.
My temporary dejection comes from the lack of awareness I still see from many close to me…family members, co-workers…It’s fellow bloggers, activists and progressive minded people who give me hope for the future. You’re right that more are becoming aware.
