Standing Upon the Gere
November 10, 2011
While walking in the Fukushima sunshine this fine day, it occurred to me that walking in the Hanford rain, probably felt similar to catching a salmon…just to the right of Grand Coulee Dam.
Irreversible climate change only comes along like, oh I don’t know, maybe once per Earth or so?
Someone should probably do something. Maybe throw a body upon the gears and what not?
But being that I’m a proud Homelandian, all that I could muster was to stand upon the spot where Richard Gere – along with the last Seattle PI – once did sit-ups for God, country and Louis Gossett Jr.
With all apologies to Mario Savio
we always seem to get the wrong gear
which pretty much leaves us with
nowhere else to go.
