Fossil fuels are old.  The Dude and Bad Blake are a bit long in the tooth as well, but such is life.  Jeff Bridges quoted himself as the Dude last-night when he offered, “Well, you know, [it’s been] up and downs, strikes and gutters, man,” “That’s about it.”
