President Obama in describing the result of our giving billions, and then billions more to the intelligence community, said that “Ultimately the buck stops with me.”
Nice to hear. I was expecting him to announce an increase of another 100 thousand U.S. troops for Afpakistan, Iran and various African nations. I was also expecting the President to reverse course, on prosecuting the entire Bush administration for the torturing of the brown-skinned POW’s in our care.
Okay, torture is forgotten. Perhaps, I thought, the President would call for a change in foreign policy? You know, change. Change how we operate in the world? Israel? Occupying nations, etc. etc., yadda yadda yadda?
Nope. Nothin. Nada, zilch.
Blackwater, the CIA’s hired assassins? Blackwater fighting our wars? Blackwater? This Blackwater? Hello…Mr. President? Blackwater? I think you’ve got a nasty Blackwater problem. ACORN? No…try Blackwater. Got bad water trouble? Yes!!
