Sheep Are Stupid, Yet Tasty

Sheep are frequently thought of as extremely unintelligent animals.  Sheep are also extremely food-oriented.  Sheep have a strong lead-follow tendency, and a leader often as not is simply the first sheep to move.  Cornered sheep may charge or threaten to do so through hoof stamping and aggressive posture.  Horn size is a factor in the flock hierarchy. Sheep may fall victim to poisons, infectious diseases, and physical injuries.  Sheep are one of the few animals where the molecular basis of the diversity of male sexual preferences has been examined.  The American breed (Ovus americanus) are particularly timid and easily led, if not outright stupid.  See Homeland Security and or the latest news cycle for example.

In other news the flock will not be seeing, Norm Dicks, the CIA and their Taliban/Mujahideen when not killing Russian troops, are blowing up American troops with reliable Italian TC-6 anti-tank mines.
