Ship of Spooky Lies

July 21, 2009

The fish wrap from Kitsap had itself a really good article kind of day.  And Pam Dzama, Norm Dicks tunnel or Boeing, didn’t have a God Damn thing to do with it?  That’s so weird.

Evidently the Turner Joy is one spooky ship when empty of tourists.  The Kitsap Sun has a lovely, fun filled look into the paranormal that might just inhabit the Turner Joy.  Four young ghost chasers from Poulsbo and Seabeck spent a few hours on the boat, setting up electromagnetic field meters, infrared lights and audio recorders… hoping to record some type of paranormal activity
on the old warship.

What they got, was Robert McNamara’s tormented spirit, screaming out for John Herrick, the NSA and Commander Stockdale.  “Desoto!” groaannn, “Tonkin!”  moooaaann.  “Agent Orange…Communist Dominoes!”…”Buuusssh…yellow cake!”…”Dow Chemical!”…cough hack, “Iraq!”…pphhhflack!…sputter…

Silence.

Really quite sad.  And spooky.

Wow. Maybe the ghosts were the ones who raised the Turner Joy from the bottom of the Gulf of Tonkin and welded her back together so that she can serve as a history lesson for all the new cannon fodder who were never actually taught how to critically read history in their public skools.
