Change has Arrived

January 20, 2009

Change is supposed to start today. This change will lead to hope, hope will lead to action, action will lead to hope.

This is what we expect.

Hallelujah…

I am now, in the process, of imagining something that has not come before.

    Oh happy day.

Obama has promised to redeploy 30,000 troops from Iraq to Afghanistan in order to fight a “good war,” to beef up U. S. military strength overall by an additional 100,000 men and women, to give Israel $30 billion dollars in military aid, and to “move forward” rather than look back at war crimes committed by the Bush administration.

He has, in addition, held his chin heavenward and kept his eloquent mouth shut while the Israel “Defense” Force kept busy butchering more than 1,200 Palestinians in the recent invasion of Gaza, more than half of them women and children.

A lot of the weapons used there were U. S.-made, including cluster bombs, white phosphorus, and the new DIME bombs that bring back memories to some of us of napalm and the horrific wounds it caused civilian targets in Vietnam. One report has it that more than 1 million cluster bombs were rained down on southern Lebanon in order to render it uninhabitable.

Much of the Israeli weaponry came from the naval weapons depot on Indian Island, right across the bay from our own politically progressive little ol’ Port Townsend.

    Hallelujah. Change has arrived.

    Not.

It’s September…I’ve changed the brake pads on my troop/Saudi supporting vehicle.

This appears to be the change I was looking for in January.

        I’m still imagining.

But I’m not believing. I’m not believing how we left the national dialog in the hands of the neocons. I’m not believing how progressives, liberals, and just plain folks who believe in liberty can get distracted from the point. And I’m not beliving what a big turd can be left by one and stuck to the next guy.

Was it PTBarnum: “Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people”

          Spot on barman.

I think John Lennon was trying to imagine a nicer place too…and we know where that got him.

Day 2 of the President Obama nightmare has begun. I wonder if he’s even had a chance to change his presidential underwear?

Indeed, he has yet to change the last several hundred years of human killing history, nor even commented on it. I’m certain Kucinich, Nader or Mckinney would have corrected all of the worlds evils and made Israel pay for what they have done to the Palestinians. Ended world famine, wiped out religions, closed Indian Island and made us all vegans…6 months ago.

Perhaps McCain/Palin would have been a better choice.

Thanks for the history lesson and take a deep breath. Day 3 of the Obama nightmare has yet to even begin.
