Ferries in the Mist
January 10, 2009

There’s an 800 pound gorilla joke here, somewhere. I suppose a Sigourney Weaver reference would also be appropriate.
Sorry, not today. Instead you get the Washington State Ferry Plan A, B or C post. It’s much more fun.
Not unlike Washington State Parks, ferries have been overridden, not maintained, mismanaged by those in charge and taken for granted by those who use them.
Go to the fish wrap from Kitsap to read more on Plan C. Find it right here.
There are no easy solutions, but opportunities do exist for those smart enough to seize them.
Here are just a few ideas that will not help at all.
- Move back to California
- Put Tim Eyman in charge. You think things are bad now…
- Close all but 2 State Parks.
- Use Park Rangers as Border Patrol Agents. Rangers know how to deal with humans and can mow lawns and clean restrooms at the same time.
- Use alternative transportation. See photos.
- Do nothing. Watch more TV. It will all be fixed for you.

Nice photo, lens.
Seems what we do about the budget is obscured, too.

Obscured, obtuse and odoriferous as well!
Stay tuned…I have a few ideas that will revolutionize our
state transportation woes, tourism, cost too much and includes
Tim Eyman!
