The Price of Gas

November 18, 2008

Thanks to places like Costco, I can now get my gas for less than 2 bucks a gallon. While I’m there, I could even purchase good quality underwear, some fantastic frozen food and a case of artichokes. If I so desired. On my way out, I can buy a dog and a coke, show my receipt at the door and walk away satisfied in my knowledge, that I have paid a very reasonable price.

Cute video, reminds us of the futility and waste of American lives in Iraq. Unfortunately, the war has nothing to do with oil prices. Clearly that point no longer holds any water. We American puppets are held captive by oil prices that are driven by speculation and wall street’s greed. Period. As many have said, until we wake up and stop driving chevy suburbans and FULL SIZE PICKUPS for runs to Costco, we will continue to suffer the same fate. If the average overweight American wanted to save gas, they would bend over and check the air in their tires once and awhile. Unfortunately for most, this task is too physically challenging as well as an intellectual strain.
Better fill up the tanks now that we are back to $2 a gallon. My prediction – by next summer we will be back at $4 TO $5 a gallon for gas. Why you ask? Why not I say. There was no real reason for the last spike in prices, as long as we make the choices we do, THEY will take our money and run.

Valid points JJ. But in my mind, the IVAW vets are not saying the war is driving the price of oil…as per your comments…I think it says what many of us believe, is that this war was almost all about oil and power. Just keeping control of it and of course control that part of the world. Some call it Imperialism.

You did catch my DRIP, Drip, drip post no? Exactly what you said…we are all hypocrites in more than one way.

    Thanks JJ Madd
