The 175,000 to 210,000 affected Gulf War veterans would like to say, no shit. Thanks for listening, the war ended 17 fucking years ago.

From the Reuters article, “Scientific evidence leaves no question that Gulf War illness is a real condition with real causes and serious consequences for affected veterans,” said the committee, which has been looking into the problem since 2002. The report further highlighted inadequacies in the medical care veterans have received from their government.

I think it is the depleted uranium rounds. I feel they don’t want to admit it because they work so good, and because they would be liable for many more people and the regions that they bombed. I was an ammunition specialist. I had all the gulf war vaccinations and then they cancelled my orders to go. I also shipped thousands of Depleted Uranium rounds, and then was ordered to sweep out the bunkers where they were stored with no mask and the dust was so thick I puked. I’ve had the same symptoms but I don’t receive benefits of any type. Its my bet that it is the DU rounds that is causing it, since I didn’t go to combat but still experienced the symptoms. It could have been the vaccinations though too. My symptoms were/are fatigue, GI disorders, memory loss, blurred vision, vertigo spells, strange rashes that occur almost daily.

    I here you speedmeisterp.
I’d bet on the DU as well as the vaccinations.
I had the vaccinations but wasn’t around the DU.

I believe there are a few vets groups trying to help.

Unlike the Palin/McCain ticket, my medical history is much less exciting.
I asked my Doc about irritability, shoulder, neck and back stiffness, my need to pick up short people and shake them and what of my freaky desire to smoke a bowl with Rick Steves?

My doctor said I was an asshole and that I should go home.

Please help us GWV, who suffer Invisible Disabilities. The public has a hard time understanding how our symptoms such as extreme fatigue, pain, dizziness and cognitive impairments can be debilitating. Contact this office and them about your health conditions and etc.

I hate to break the news to people but the democrates don’t care about the troops. protest both sides fine but to blame all this on Bush Senor is bull, why didn’t Clinton do anything for the 90s? Why did Bill Clinton send my girlfriend in the National Guard to Bosnia and make her take experimental drugs that were untested?

Well Matt, the fact that Clinton was half impeached for lying about a blow job…tells us all we need to know about both sides. As for breaking news to people about Democrats and the troops? That’s not exactly news around here. They’re corporate owned, war mongering whores just like the GOP.

Bush senior is to blame for spawning Bush Jr., who Obama has shown to be a huge disappointment as a Republican. Obama is far better at implementing conservative ideology than either Bush ever dreamed…and the Huffpost Democrats do not like to hear that.

Clinton…when not getting blow jobs from Hillary…did leave us poor folk with plenty of budget surplus. He finished what HW Bush started, by sending jobs overseas. Clinton killed thousands of children in Iraq, with the boycott and no fly zone…that never actually succeed in shooting anything down. Clinton tried to kill bin Laden. Bush senior helped create him. Clinton brought us Hillary, who also enjoys killing children and brown-skinned mud hut dwellers.

Presidents have been experimenting on the troops since presidents have been able to. This is nothing new.

The trouble Matt, is that America doesn’t care about the troops. Slapping a yellow ribbon on your truck and listening to God Bless America doesn’t support the troops. Watching TV the doesn’t support the troops. Protesting doesn’t support the troops. The troops want to come home and no one is listening. No one listened to us in Desert Storm and no one is listening now.

Troop support is not sending them to Iraq and Vietghanistan instead of Saudi Arabia. Troop support is ensuring they have the right equipment when you do send them to the wrong place, for the wrong reason. Troop support is funding the VA instead of B of A. Troop support is not gutting education, health care and jobs.

The Homeland is sick and close to death…and no one really gives a fuck, Matt.
