Olympia Photog Mistaken for Patriot

Patriots in the Olympia area are used to being shoved, pepper sprayed and arrested for doing their patriotic duty. In this case, it was a Lacey Police Detective getting pissy with a news photographer from The Olympian. Read about it here. Obviously this detective has issues. One being he works for a department with the name Lacey in it.

But the Olympian also has a problem. The Pissy Detective is calling their photographer a liar. The Olympian has had issues with the truth in the recent past. The Port of Olympia actions, a great example. Olympia PD is still dealing with their choices from those days in November, their half truths and verbal judo. The Olympian chose sides, like all poorly run news pushers do and opted for pushing propaganda, instead of fact based reporting. Read a bit of that fine journalism, here.

The Olympian is trying to portray “Lacey” Detective Miller, as less than truthful. The Olympian is going to have to be very careful in their “coverage” of this story. Many former law enforcement types, like myself, as well as all of those involved with shutting the Port of Olympia down last year, are watching.

So Vickie, what’s it going to be this time? Propaganda or journalism? Both seem to go together so well these days…
