Preparing for Peace Activists….

With overwhelming force. Is that a new super secret Bush policy? Well probably, but this preparing for peace activists with force happened last year in Aberdeen/Hoquiam of Washington State fame.
Last May in Aberdeen, there was fear in the air. You could almost smell it. Rumors flew. You see, the sleepy towns of Aberdeen/Hoquiam were soon to be invaded and the Aberdeen Police Department had to act. It had to spend some money. It entrusted Captain John Greene with the task of money spending and a much more difficult, secretive operation. The protection of the Grays Harbor area, from an invasion force of unknown, scary and casually dressed peace activists.
This revising of history and the wild tales of doom and gloom was recently hatched by Captain Green and regurgitated for your reading pleasure by the The Daily World , an up and coming contender for the much coveted “Mis-Information Award”. This award is handed out to media outlets on an almost daily basis, for doing their best to make stuff up and then report on it as if it were actual, news. The Daily World is giving The Olympian an excellent run for its money this go around!
So good on ya Captain Green! Congratulations on being chosen the 2008, Aberdeen Police Officer of the year.
I leave you blog reader with a quote and a message from the Captain, “The citizens in our community may never realize how bad it could have been.” Wow. Thanks for that Capt. John, it was indeed a close one.
But I’m left to wonder how bad could it have been Captain Green? Yeah, I think any one of your guys, or the State Patrol, or the Grays Harbor County Sheriffs Department, or Elma PD, or Homeland Security, or Hoquiam PD, or Security Services NW, or Seattle PD or the King County “specialist” or one of the two Washington State Parks Campground Hosts, could have “engaged” the “targets” the casually dressed peace activists in mortal combat.
Maybe your department could let us know, just how bad you thought it could have been? Captain.
