“Stormin” Norman Dicks
Yesterday, “Stormin” Norman Dicks traveled to the furthest reaches of his district to attend another pet project for National Parks. Norm was at a ground breaking ceremony for a water treatment plant on the Elwha River, which is part of a much larger project to remove Dams on the river and provide drinking water for Port Angeles .
This project has been in the ongoing stages since 1992. Costs have risen a bit and at this breakneck speed, Norm will have to be in office another 15 years or so to see this project through. So 45 years of Norm Dicks? That’s good for National Parks. Thats good for the Defense Industry and that little agency we like to call the Department of Defense.
Congressman Dicks had some things to say at the ceremony. He praised President Bush for his support. He also warned that residents should appreciate the governments significant investment in this drinking water venture. Norm went on to say something about funding and more funding and how he hopes that we pay attention to the science….when something just snapped in Congressman Dicks.
Norm became red faced, his eyes squinted in apparent overwhelming anger….and he then began to shout at the gathered “press” and dignitaries. Norm began to berate the president and his administration for their failure to build water treatment plants in Iraq. Congressman Dicks screamed with red faced indignation at the press that they were not doing their jobs. “Why”, he asked, are you guys not covering the Sibel Edmonds story? Where is your outrage he ranted? In my district alone, we have spent over $973 million dollars in this fake terror war, as OUR country slides into financial ruin. While you people sit here and fret over another lousy Seahawks season, Dick Cheney is pushing legislation to spy on all Americans, NATO is selling first strike nuclear war, I get billions of dollars of pork for Naval Base Kitsap, F.t. Lewis and Boeing…..! Peninsula Daily News….wake the fuck up!
Norm’s aides finally jumped in and removed the distraught Congressman. A man can only take so much!
OK. I made some parts of that up. For we know, constituent representation is the furthest thing from “Stormin” Norman Dicks mind. But it sure could have been a great way for Norm to end his trip to Port Angeles…..
Say hi to Rep. Kucinich for me, thanks Norm.
