Ed Hanson. UW alumnus, Husky Football fanatic, former three term Mayor of Everett, Wa., a lawyer and a multi millionaire. Wow! Thats a mouthful Ed. So what possesed you to threaten poor UW President Mark Emmert with donation blackmail in order to fulfill your Husky Football coaching demands? Low self esteem? Loss of your moral compass, genetics?

As many others have already wondered what the hell you were thinking, I’ll pass along some alternatives on what you might do with your money Ed.

Look no further than Everett. Throw some cash towards Snohomish County Energy Assistance. Help some folks out with their heating bills. Ask for Bill Beuscher.

Want someone fired Ed? Pass along some of your wisdom and cash to say….Dennis Kucinich. He’s looking to fire a couple of guys back east.

How about our returning Veterans Ed? You know about them right? Everett has a few and I bet there are some living on the fine streets of your former Mayoraldum….share the wealth Ed.

The possibilities are endless. So Ed, please spare us any well penned press releases. Spare us on how your intent was misread, misquoted or misunderstood. Your email tantrum has given a pretty clear picture of what you are all about. As an added bonus, your Husky backer brethren with money have “outed” themselves as well.
