Smells Like Opportunity

January 8, 2009

The Seattle PI is going to be sold or boarded up and pawned off for scrap. Kind of like an old semi-useful ferry. It still floats, people will pay to ride it, but then one day…the rusty old girl sinks with all hands on board.

According to super secret sources, the paper is not expected to sell. Bad news for PI employees, good news for The Seattle Weekly, The Stranger, Goldy and about 17 pissy, open minded blogs.

I will be looking to hire 4 assistants, 1 backup photographer, 2 editors, a mail room person, a movie watcher, 3 videographers, 4 Wa. State Representatives, a barista, security, 2 bartenders, a liquor control agent, Robert Jamieson Jr., Brother Ali (see below) and Matt Hasselbeck. Matt will be financing this venture…to make up for this season and his dumb ass sister-in-law.

Let’s get to work.

      Great qualifications.
I’ve added you to the list.

Now I need money bags Hasselbeck to come through.

Have you thought of an Eastern Bureau?

The spokesman-enquirer is going TU soon (and I’m certainly not talking Trout Unlimited) so me and Dave Oliveria are going to be lookin’ for Opportunity!

I know where the best bars are, and Dave knows what Rush and Hannity told him to think today…

An Eastern Bureau might work. But I fear the articles would be tainted by the endless happy hour.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
